Bat out of hell II: back to hell FACTs

Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell sold 14 million copies worldwide and was number one for 11 weeks in 1993.

It was released sixteen years after Meat Loaf's first solo album, Bat Out of Hell.

The album spawned five singles.

The single "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" reached number one in 28 countries.

It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a month and was the biggest single of the year in the UK, staying at number one for seven weeks.

An epic 12 minutes on the album, “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” had to be cut down to 5:09 for the radio friendly version.

 

Meat Loaf won a Grammy Award for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "I'd Do Anything for Love".
